Privacy Policy

The short version

Valence is built on the premise that your values are yours. We collect only what we need to make the product work, we don't sell your data, and we don't share it with anyone outside the groups you choose to join.

What we collect

• Email address — used for sign-in only. We send a one-time code each time you log in. We do not send marketing email.
• Your name and color — how you appear in your group's web. You choose both.
• Your values and intensities — the heart of the product. Stored securely and shared only with groups you explicitly join.
• Group membership — which groups you belong to and when you joined.
• Payment information — handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy. We never see or store your card details.

What we do not collect

• We do not track your behavior across the web.
• We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics.
• We do not read your personal reports — they are generated in your browser and never sent to our servers.
• We do not share your data with anyone for commercial purposes.

Who can see your values

Only the other members of a group you have joined can see your values — no one else. This means: other Valence users who are not in your group cannot see them. The general public cannot see them. Valence does not display or share them outside of the specific group context. Each group is fully isolated — members of one group cannot see your values in any other group you belong to.

Your personal report (your connection profile, unique values, and bond analysis) is generated entirely in your browser.

Group deletion: The creator of a group may delete it at any time. When a group is deleted, all membership records for that group are permanently removed from our servers. Your personal Valence account — including your name, color, and values profile — is unaffected. Only your participation in that specific group is removed.

Data storage

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Supabase in the United States. Access is protected by row-level security policies — database queries are scoped to only the data you are authorized to see. All connections are encrypted in transit (TLS).

Your rights

• Edit your values — any time, from your account page.
• Leave a group — removes you from that group's web immediately.
• Delete your account — email us at hello@valence-app.pro and we will permanently delete your profile, values, and all associated data within 30 days.

Cookies

We use one session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party cookies. The session cookie is deleted when you sign out.

Payments

Group creation requires a one-time $3 payment processed by Lemon Squeezy. Lemon Squeezy acts as the merchant of record and handles all payment data, tax compliance, and receipts. Valence receives only a confirmation that payment was successful — no card numbers, no billing addresses.

Changes

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll update the date above. We won't notify you by email unless the changes materially affect your privacy.
